The new national-populist offensive is finding a lot of obstacles in its attack to the liberal-democratic order, but still they represent a mood, a spirit of the time, very strong if not dominant and not only in Western countries. There is no doubt that we are living a populist moment. The question is whether it will turn into a populist era.
