A23a, three times the size of New York city, is following the iceberg alley towards the Southern Ocean where others of this kind can be found bobbing in dark waters. But there is a possibility that it could again become grounded at South Georgia island which is home for a million seals, penguins and other birds, stirring fears of a catastrophe.
