Beware of a weakened Germany

It’s a lesson out of history books that Germany isn’t a cohesive country with one soul. The current multifaceted crisis begs the question of which of the many Germanys will prevail: Berlin or Frankfurt, Leipzig or Bonn, Munich or Marienburg? Looking at the Siegestor, the un-triumphant triumphal arch celebrating defeat as much as victory, one realises the enemy could also be German.
