New technological approaches from enterprising bioengineers and biomedical researchers are transforming the practice of medicine as we know it, opening the doors to the ambition to cure the almost incurable conditions. Yet, a shift of paradigm is required to encourage and sustain the research and to find new ways to resource the therapies.
