The secular concept of the Ideal City is now morphed into the current Smart City, maintaining the original plan of embodying a rational social order. It has never been more crucial to make cities efficient for their residents. Smart cities have the potential to generate a huge amount of economic benefits, but this requires not only a visionary picture, but a broad technological reorganization.
