This article summarizes the original sin of the chavista Venezuela described by the author in the fifth chapter of his last book “Adiós Venezuela. The end of chavismo from Maduro to Guaidó” recently published in Italy. Its aim is to decipher the Venezuelan puzzle and understand its geopolitical background beyond unelaborated simplifications.
