The geopolitical shifting balance, the dramatic reshaping of supply flows, the oil market ups and downs and the urgent global recovery are stimulating a complex and expensive de-carbonization in the midst of the dark age the pandemic has wrought. Energy transition will certainly happen, but simplistic recipes are doomed to fail.
