After being 90 years on the list, the oil giants are losing their place to hi-tech titans. Probably there will not be an Apple or Google of Energy as many could think. A highly capital-intensive sector like energy takes years to adapt. Nevertheless the change is underway and that begs the question: how much energy will big data consume?
