Think of bats and you may have images of blonde actresses in caves with a bat parting, as hundreds of evil looking creatures fly off into the night to make mischief with unsuspecting locals also known as vampire snacks. But the bat is undeserving of such negative press and has often helped mankind to make scientific progress.
