The killing of Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani has produced President Trump’s biggest foreign-policy challenge yet. A weaker and more isolated Iran is a satisfactory short term result for him, but now the European Union should step in and show that it gives the utmost priority to the stability of the MENA region.
